LeadershipLEADERSHIP Leadership is offered fall semester. Students help complete the business of the A.S.B. in addition to supporting athletics and activities at Sultan High. Course Syllabus: This class is designed to instruct students in the various methods and characteristics of leadership. We will also learn the most effective techniques for planning, implementing and evaluating projects related to school activities. General Topics to be covered but not limited to: Group Process Communication Skills Public Speaking Parliamentary Procedures Types of Leadership Characteristics of Leadership Students will also be expected to complete various tasks associated with activities here at Sultan High School. Grading: Assignments Quizzes/Tests 5 pts per day Extra Credit Opportunities: participating in class activities outside of the school day Ideally, the Leadership class will grow to become the sponsoring organization for the majority of the happenings at school. This will allow student body and ASB officers to develop the extras that make each year unique and special for the students at Sultan High. Course Contract:

I will participate positively in class activities. I will support class activities, even if I personally don't agree with them. I will help create a positive, trusting, safe class environment. I will trust my classmates and believe enough in my own abilities to contribute ideas and participate in class discussions. I will not disrupt the learning process of others; both in class and on work days when I am around the school campus. I will be a positive example of the students at Sultan High School when attending events at home and at other schools. I will not use foul language in my role as a student leader at Sultan High School. I will not talk disparagingly about this class, my classmates, or activities at Sultan High School. I will do my part to help build and maintain a spirited and pride-filled student body at Sultan High School.
