CLASSROOM RULES

1                    Be on time

2                   Be prepared for class

3                   Don't affect anyone else's ability to learn

4                  Leave your pop, food, and music in your locker

5                   Discipline yourself so others don't have to

GRADES

Grading is done on a percentage of points basis: amount of points earned divided by the amount of points possible.  Assignments turned in on time and complete will be worth 100% of the point value.  Those that are late or acceptably incomplete will receive 80% of the value of the assignment.  You may make up any of the last 7 assignments on the grade report at any time.

Grades will be posted on the board every week.  Questions about grades are to be asked during Tutorial or after school, not during class time.  Grades can be accessed on the internet at any time.  Progress reports will also be sent home at times, these can be brought back to class for extra-credit.

The grading scale is as follows:       

A       95 - 100%

A-               90 - 94%

B+    87 - 89%

B       84 - 86%

B-               80 - 83%

C+    77 - 79%

C       74 - 76%

C-      70 - 73%

D       65 - 69%

F        0 - 64%

MAKE UP WORK 

Make up work for all excused absences is the responsibility of the student.  If the student is absent, he/she must contact the teacher to get the work during tutorial or after school.  No make up work will be given during class.  Make up work for unexcused absences will not be accepted.

BOOKS

Each student will be issued a textbook at the beginning of the semester.  Failure to return that book or returning it with excessive damage will result in a fine.  If there is a class set of books to use, students may check out books to take home at night and will be responsible for bringing it back the very next day.

BEHAVIOR

The behavior expectations in my room are simple.  Follow directions, be quiet when asked to, and otherwise behave in an appropriate manner.  Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated in this room.

PERKS

A student with no missing assignments will not be required to take the final exam at the end of the semester.  For 10 extra-credit points, return this signed by whoever is in charge.
